Shall I sleep in his bed
so the moon whispers to me,
the secrets of the night.
Layers and layers of skin,
entangled in his memories,
caught in the act of love.
Sing to me, I ask the moon
the mysteries his eyes behold,
the sorrow his heart harbours,
the life that flutters.
I close my eyes and the night descends
closing in, trapping me,
gravitating towards oblivion.
When will this longing end?
so the moon whispers to me,
the secrets of the night.
Layers and layers of skin,
entangled in his memories,
caught in the act of love.
Sing to me, I ask the moon
the mysteries his eyes behold,
the sorrow his heart harbours,
the life that flutters.
I close my eyes and the night descends
closing in, trapping me,
gravitating towards oblivion.
When will this longing end?
