Love isn't blind. Infatuation is.

Curling up on the sofa, wrapping the blanket around her, she opened the diary and began to read...
"It was farewell day for the senior class when I saw him for the first time. A new student. He wore black t-shirt and a faded jeans and carried an ambiance of authority around him. I couldn't make out his features due to the distance but he appeared much taller than me. He headed towards the residential area of the school.

"I sat beside him since there weren't any vacant seats in the class. I smiled when our eyes met. He didn't. I saw the opaqueness and depth in his eyes that strongly refused to give anything away.
The class began and when the questions began he answered all of them without missing a beat. When the questions were directed to me I couldn't answer, for the first time."

"He spoke for the first time today. He didn't understand a chapter of English and asked me to help him. I did. We spoke about music then. He told me to listen to songs of the bands I didn't knew.   I did listen and loved them."

"Today he revealed the darker part of him. I wanted to help him. Get him in the right path. While helping him, I forgot I was losing myself.."

"With each passing day my liking was growing stronger and knowing I could help myself, I didn't. That was a mistake."

The door bell rang pulling herself out of her reverie. Before opening the door, a conversation with her mom when she was sixteen popped into her 26 years old mind.
She: Mom, love is blind you won't understand.
Her mom: Love isn't blind. Infatuation is.  This is infatuation. And trust me, the right guy will cross path at the right time.

The Chinese monsoon I turned 16 :)

4th August 2014, the day I turned 16 (finally) and the day I landed in Beijing, China.

I can recall how I hated the authentic Chinese food and hours of walking with that empty stomach. But all the walk and no food was actually worth as I ended up liking China a lot better than I had expected to. The fascinating history and Chinese tradition intrigued me.
How can I miss out on the Great walk on The Great Wall of China (yes, another wonder of the world added to my seen list)! The best part of a place for a shopaholic is definitely the shopping and China was the paradise.

And then came the most anticipated part of the trip:
I remember the exhilaration and euphoria of attending the Model United Nations (MUN) Conference. I wanted to attend it ever since I read about it in 'Just Friends.'
MUN is just amazing. Beyond amazing actually. Meeting new people, knowing their thoughts, the events, delegate gala ... everything was just the way I wanted it to be.
These seven days, with the best teacher, with the best sister and few other awesome people, was spent well.

Just an advice, to have a lifetime experience, MUN is the perfect ambiance.
